Trekking in Nepal - The Everest Trek. Khumbu is situated southwest of Everest and is the home of the Sherpas. It is one of the most known and a beautiful trekking area.
As you can see on this picture, Khumbu is like a big bowl, surounded by high mountains like Everest, Baruntse, Ama Dablam and Cho Oyu.
The main entrance is by the valley of the Duth khosi, either by trekking from Jiri or flying to Lukhla. Other possible Passes are the Nangpa La going to Tibet or the Trashi Labtsa coming from Rolvalling valley in the
west.
